“I sustain myself with the love of family.      -Maya Angelou

My devotion to photography adds purpose and meaning to my life. It opens door and creates lifelong friendships.

My name is Darby Allison Davenport. I am originally from the San Francisco Bay area. However, for many years now, I've been living and working in Northern California from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe. Photography has been a lifelong passion. I am a student by nature. In the past several years, I have committed to furthering my education and experience in order to hone my skills and push the creative aspect of my work further.

A graduate of The New York Institute of Photography, I keep busy shooting for local non-profits, concert venues and private clients. I feel honored to volunteer my time to organizations within my community.

My experience is in event photography, portraiture, boudoir, theater, and fine art nudes. I love to work with women. I understand how to pose and drape to flatter all ages, shapes and sizes. By incorporating the dramatic effect of contrasting light and shadow, I strive to capture the beauty of our world one client at a time. Showcasing the female body as an art form is my passion. I find it easy to see the beauty of women at every age through my lens.

Other than my love for photography and community service, I feel passionate about our environment, human rights, supporting the local arts and the re-homing of ex-racing Greyhound dogs. When I'm not behind my camera, I spend time hiking with my rescue hounds and cooking for family and friends. Mostly, I just love my unpredictable life!

I attribute the success of this venture to my husband Clark, my fellow photographers and mentors, as well as the encouragement of my fearless friend, the talented artist, Deb Foxen.
